Why DMT makes sense

Since DMT takes effect almost immediately, users normally lie down or sit in a reclining position prior to taking a hit. One will neither be able to stand up, or have the ability to recognize their surroundings if they get a good hit.

N,N-Dimethyltryptamine and 5-Methoxy-Dimethyltryptamine are naturally occurring internal linkpsychedelics found in a variety of plants around the world, several of which are native to the Amazon region. These alkaloids, which are usually found together in the  plants, are also found in the human brain as neurotransmitters, as well as our blood, urine, and spinal fluid. DMT is produced in the human pineal gland which is correlated to the "internal linkThird eye" or Ajna internal linkChakra in the Indian spiritual system. Meditative states attained by yogis who concentrate on the 3rd eye may be the result of increased DMT levels. 5-MeO-DMT is produced in heavy concentration in the glands of some toads, such as Bufo Alvarius. Some people actually make a practice of squeezing out this venom, then drying and smoking it to get high.

N,N-DMT and 5-MeO-DMT are also manufactured synthetically, as separate compounds, and sold on the underground market and although it’s quite rare in the psychedelic underground, synthetic DMT is used much more often than DMT from natural sources.

Terry Pratchett is fantastic

Thursday, December 22nd, 2005

Whenever you hesitate about what to read next, vote for Pratchett. Any book of the Discworld series will be a 200-300 pages of smiling and sometimes laughing. If you are me, of course.

Good guys stole my prize

Wednesday, December 7th, 2005

Procrastination means death in our highly high tech times, no doubt. Mea culpa, I was too lazy - and a good guy passed me just like that. He started collecting interesting links on web development, software, fun and entertainment, music, and my favorite - paranoia. More than that: he opened the whole deal to anyone, so now it’s not just him there, but a whole community of people. On the one hand - so sad. On the other - good luck, guys.

Popping a sportsbook cherry

Thursday, December 1st, 2005

I did it. I wagered my modest 5 squids on horse racing, then 5 more - on basketball betting, and for the desserts joined a cazzo dritto. Just to know what it is. And you know what? Unexciting. I do not understand people who gamble on a regular basis. Perhaps, if I were a high roller, I’d be biting my nails while looking at a table where my money meets its destiny.
